Truly a diamond in the rough. Located in a barren plaza, this is an oasis of amazing, authentic (and Canadian-style) Chinese food. This is probably the best Chinese food I've had outside of the GTA.
The BBQ pork here is amazing. On par with the best in Markham. The sweet and sour chicken was very good too - crispy and flavourful. Lastly, the Cantonese chow mein was great, if a bit too salty. I'd ask for less salt for that dish next time. Still, the ingredients used all around were very high quality, including jumbo scallops in the Cantonese chow mein, which is rare to see at this price point. If you get the tea, it's loose leaf Chinese tea too rather than bagged tea.
Service was friendly and quick. Food took a bit long to come out, but it was worth it. The inside is reasonably nice. -

If you're deciding what to get from this restaurant, I wouldn't miss the BBQ pork. It's one of the best places in the GTA for BBQ pork.
They offer the standard Chinese food combos such as lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, chow mein and more. They also seem to have more authentic Chinese dishes for those who want something less "fried and greasy."
Service was great. The owners are very friendly and efficient. They have booths and a large TV screen. -

Every so often when our family gets together we like to order Chinese take-out, so ever since we all moved to Burlington ---three households --- we have been looking for a restaurant that delivers good Chinese food that we can rely on as our regular "go-to" place.
We decided to order dinner from Aroma Kitchen based on the reviews here, but with the terrible customer service and mediocre food, it certainly won't happen again.
Details: I called at 7:25 p.m. and placed an order for nearly $80 worth of food. I was told that it would be "1/2 hour to 45 minutes". I figured it would take more like 45 minutes, but after we had waited an hour and a half, we began to get hungry and wondered if the delivery driver might be lost.
I called the restaurant and asked about the status of our order. The woman ("Donna", according to the receipt) interrupted me to shout, "Ya ya ya! On the way! On the way!"
Another 20 minutes passed with no delivery, and this time my daughter phoned. Donna shouted at her as well, claiming that it was "far to drive!" and that it "takes a long time to drive so far!" Note that our house was less than 10 km from the restaurant.
Of course, by the time the driver finally arrived, the food was no longer hot.
After the lengthy delay and being rudely shouted at, we found that the food was only mediocre and the portions were not particularly large.
Such a disappointment. Never again. This restaurant has been crossed off our family's list of dining options. -

We passed by Burlington from Niagara, and to visit IKEA... we found this nice little place and ordered Chinese food... food is surprisingly good... sour soup is spot on, chicken with mixed vegetables are on par... what I liked the most is the chicken siomai - I recommend it...

I came into Aroma today for lunch after work. We received the menu in our mailbox a little while ago and were very interested. I am SO glad I went in.
I ordered the lunch special general tao chicken and beef with black bean sauce. Both are amazing! I say "are" because I'm writing this review and eating the delicious food at the same time.
Thank you for my new favorite weekend take out spot. I WILL be back
